WHAT ARE THE LATE WORK & REVISION POLICIES?
Late work dates are noted on the Course Description / Photo Syllabus as well as the front bulletin board in the classroom. Generally the last day to turn in work is the day of the next progress report grading period. Usually this means you have about 4-6 weeks for late work. The one exception to this is the end of the semester. All work for that grading period is due before Dead Week. Nothing late is accepted after this point. All late work is docked 10% off of the final score. You are always highly encouraged to revise and improve prior work for a higher score. Note that does not guarantee you a higher score! The work must be improved! If you want guidance on what to specifically improve on your assignments ask Ms.Y so she can review your work with you one-on-one. Work may only be resubmitted once per an assignment and the same deadlines apply as late work.

WHAT IF I NEED EXTRA TIME TO WORK ON MY PROJECTS?
You are always welcome to come in and work during Flex periods or lunch. After school hours may be available, but you will need to talk to Ms.Y personally about it. Extensions are given on a case by case basis and only if they are warranted (i.e. if you've been using your time poorly in class then an extension will not be granted). If you were absent, you automatically have an additional class period for each class period you were out. Keep in mind that starts the day you return to school. It is your responsibility to let Ms.Y know when you are turning in your work after an absence so that the date is noted in the grade book and you are not docked for being late.

I AM TRANSFERRING INTO THIS CLASS AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
You will need to meet with Ms.Y as soon as possible so she can help you get settled. If you're joining us late, that's perfectly fine, but understand that you will need to complete some makeup work so that you are caught up with the rest of the class. There's a list of work for transfer students in the Important Documents section of your course.

HOW DO I CHECK OUT A EQUIPMENT TO TAKE HOME?
First you will need to have a Camera Checkout Contract on file that both you and your parents/guardians have signed. Then you will simply need to talk to Ms.Y about borrowing a camera and/or equipment. Be sure you have thoroughly read the rules and expectations and that you have noted the day and time you will need to pick up your camera and check it back in to Ms.Y.
