Pre-Assessment:
Cell Phone Scavenger Hunt

Almost all of us take photos on our cell phones regularly.  For most of us, our cell phones have been, and will continue to be, our most used camera.  So in light of that... today we will be taking photos using cell phones.  This activity will give me an idea of where you are at with photography and what skills you already possess.

Where will I turn in my work?

  • The Cell Phone Scavenger Hunt Folder on the Server

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Look through the attached slideshow. 

  2. Take photos of at least 6 of the 7 prompts. (7 is for extra credit!)

  3. Before you Come to Class:  Login to your Google Drive on your cell phone.

  4. Press the + button and choose "New Folder" - Name your new folder "Photo"

  5. Press the + button and choose the photos that you want to upload to your drive for your Scavenger Hunt.

  6. Click on the 3 dots next to each photo and choose "Rename"

  7. Name each photo with:   Your Last Name _ Your First Name _ The Prompt Name

  8. When You Come to Class: Login to your Macbook

  9. Navigate to your Google Drive

  10. Find your photos

  11. Click on the 3 dots next to each photo and choose "Download"

  12. Login to the photo server. (This will be demonstrated in class, but if you miss it go to the "Important Course Document" tab here and follow the "How to Turn in Your Work")

  13. Drag and drop your photos into your period's "Cell Phone Scavenger Hunt" folder

  14. Wait for them to full upload and you're done!
