Lesson 8:
Adding Rainbows

(40 points)

Where will I turn in my work?

  • Turn your final edited photos into appropriate period's "Rainbows" folder on the Photo Server

Photo Requirements:

  • Use the two attached sample photos "Forest" & "Rainbow_2" in the tutorial to create 1 final photo

  • 3 of your own photos and 3 of the rainbow overlays from the attached Google Drive to create 3 additional images of your own using the tutorial below

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Look through the attached slide show and read through the tutorial below before beginning the assignment.

  2. Follow along with the tutorial using the photos attached below called "Forest" and "Rainbow_2".

  3. When you are done turn your final photo in to the server.

  4. Go take at least 3 photos of your own that you would like to add rainbows to.  Any subject will work for this assignment!

  5. Look through the Google Drive Folder of Rainbow Overlays.  Find a different photo for each of your 3 final images.  You cannot use the example photo below in one of your final images.

  6. Using the attached tutorial complete 3 rainbow composite images of your own.   (PRO TIP: Open all three photos at once in Photoshop and complete each step on all three photos one at a time, before moving on to the next step.  This way you only have to read the tutorial once!).

  7. Turn your photo in on the Photo Server. Be sure to follow proper naming protocol so your file is titled "Last Name _ First Name _Rainbow_1" with the file extension .tif
