Where will I turn in my work?
• Turn your final edited photos into the appropriate period's lesson specific folder on the Photo Server
Photo Requirements:
• 4 final photos are submitted
• Complete the 2 demo photos - Gradient Mapping 1 & Gradient Mapping 2
• Choose 2 of your own photos and put them through the tutorial
Editing Requirements:
• 8x10 or 10x8
• 300 dpi (resolution)
• All the steps in the High Contrast Black & White Tutorial below have been followed
• TIFF file extension
• Proper naming protocol followed - Last Name _ First Name _ AssignmentName _ 1
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1 - Read through the tutorial and follow along with the 2 example photos.
2 - Select two of your own photos to put through the tutorial. IMPORTANT NOTE: the numbers on the sliders will change depending upon your own unique photo. Choose what gives you the best high contrast image for the sliders. They will be different on EVERY photo.
3 - CRAZY COLOR CHALLENGE (Optional): You can take this tutorial one step further and create a colored high contrast image if you would like! They can look super trippy or remind you of a really dope movie poster depending on your color choices. If you would like to pursue this option try changing the color of the gradient in the gradient dialog box. You do this by clicking on the colored slider boxes and then click on the box below it that says color. Use the color picker to choose your colors!
