Where will I turn in my work?

Turn your final edited photos into appropriate period's "Simplicity" folder on the Photo Server

Turn in your Simplicity Contact Sheet on Canvas making sure to note your final photos in the comments box

1 Final Edited Simple Photo of a person

1 Final Edited Simple Photo of a subject of your choice

36+ photos included on your Contact Sheet

300 dpi (resolution)

Duplicate background copy

3+ adjustment layers that improve your photo

Proper naming protocol followed - Last Name _ First Name _ Simple _ 1

Your instructor will go through the slideshow below in class with tips and tricks for creating strong compositions using simplicity. If you happen to be absent, look through the slide deck and follow up by asking your instructor any questions you might have.

Take a minimum of 36 photographs focusing on the use of simplicity by emphasizing simple backgrounds and having your subject fill the frame. Be sure your subject is in crisp focus and is well lit.

Download your photos to your computer.

This will be your first assignment where you will need to create a contact sheet. Your instructor, in class, will demonstrate how to make a contact sheet as you follow along. If you happen to be absent, create a contact sheet for your photos using the posted tutorial below. Be sure to submit your contact sheet on Canvas and note which photos are your final submitted 3 images using the comments box.

Select your 3 strongest photos that meet the requirements listed above.

Put your photos through workflow.

Turn your photo in on the Photo Server. Be sure to follow proper naming protocol so your file is titled "Last Name _ First Name _ Simplicity_1" with the file extension .tif
